The 2023-2024 Edition of Mastarel Project has developed three educational activities as part of its program, all free of charge:
1. “Basic Naval Carpentry” workshop with João Aires;
2. Open class “Salt Market, architecture and historical heritage”, with Michel Pinho;
3. Lighting workshop “Creating night landscapes” with Lúcia Chedieck.

BASIC NAVAL CARPENTRY
MASTER JOÃO AIRESThe workshop gave students the opportunity to monitor the construction of small boats made of moriche palm, from execution to final assembly, such as painting, finishing, study of shapes and typical elements of riverine vessels.

Lúcia Chedieck presented an overview of the history of artistic lighting from its aesthetic and technical aspects; the creation process was discussed with the aim of creating perception of the visual elements available for lighting.
